Kings Community Action Organization is nearing completion of a major renovation at its Clay Center Head Start site, a project that will improve early childhood education services while creating a safer, healthier, and more accessible environment for children and families in Kings County.

Kings Community Action Agency is once again accepting applications for its Home and Energy programs, reopening access to weatherization and utility assistance for families across Kings County.

KCAO has opened appointments for its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program, commonly known as VITA, offering free tax preparation services to eligible Kings County residents.

Kings Community Action Organization is encouraging nonprofit organizations across Northern California to participate in the 2026 California Nonprofit Compensation & Benefits Survey, a statewide study designed to help nonprofits attract and retain talent through fair and competitive pay practices.

Each year, Kings Community Action Organization’s Home and Energy Department continues a special tradition by selecting one Head Start classroom to sponsor during the holiday season with the goal of ensuring that every child in the classroom receives a thoughtful gift and feels the warmth of community support.
