Wings of Hope Fundraiser Happening Now to Support Barbara Saville Shelter
Kings Community Action Organization has launched its 2nd annual Wings of Hope Fundraiser to support the Barbara Saville Domestic Violence Shelter and the survivors it serves every day.
Established in 1983, the Barbara Saville Shelter provides a safe, confidential, and supportive environment for survivors of domestic violence, elder abuse, human trafficking, and sexual assault. For more than forty years, the shelter has helped individuals and families find protection, stability, and a path toward healing and independence.
Every day, members of our community face abuse in silence. The Wings of Hope Fundraiser is an opportunity to help change that. This campaign not only raises critical funds, but also brings awareness to the urgent issues impacting our neighbors. Each color on the butterfly represents a cause:
Gray represents Elder Abuse
Teal represents Sexual Assault
Blue represents Human Trafficking
Purple represents Domestic Violence
From February 1 through April 30, community members can visit the KCAO main office at 1130 N. 11th Avenue in Hanford or go to the KCAO website and make a donation of five dollars or more. In return, donors will receive a butterfly card to write their name on and display in the office for the duration of the fundraiser.
Each butterfly placed on the wall is a visible reminder that our community stands together to replace fear and silence with safety and hope.
All proceeds from the Wings of Hope Fundraiser benefit the KCAO Barbara Saville Shelter.
Give hope wings. Be part of the change.
