KCAO Achieves Bronze Tier in Pathways to Excellence Program

Kings Community Action Organization is proud to announce that we have officially achieved Bronze Tier recognition in the Pathways to Excellence program, marking an important milestone in our ongoing commitment to continuous improvement.

Pathways to Excellence is a comprehensive framework that guides Community Action Agencies through a structured journey of organizational growth, sustainability, and impact. Rooted in the Community Action Standards of Excellence, the program helps agencies embed continuous quality improvement into every level of their operations. Using a tiered structure of Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum, Pathways supports agencies as they move from foundational improvements to achieving national excellence.

Reaching the Bronze Tier signifies that KCAO has established a strong foundation for excellence, formed an internal Excellence Team to lead improvement efforts, engaged the Board of Directors in committing to the Standards of Excellence, built consensus around our agency’s mission, context, and vision for the future, and completed the first phase of learning and reflection on how we can sharpen our performance and increase our long-term sustainability.

KCAO has always strived to serve the Kings County community with compassion, innovation, and excellence. By engaging in the Pathways to Excellence program, we are doubling down on our promise to ensure that our internal practices match the high standards our clients and partners deserve. From stronger data systems to improved strategic planning, every step we take through Pathways ultimately leads to better services, better outcomes, and a stronger community. This achievement reflects our dedication to strengthening KCAO and building a more resilient organization that can better serve our community today and into the future.

The journey doesn’t stop here, it’s just getting started. As we look toward achieving Silver Tier and beyond, our team will continue training, evaluating, and building on this foundation. We’re grateful to our staff, Board, and partners who have supported us along the way. Together, we’re building a stronger, smarter, and more sustainable KCAO.
