National Volunteer Recognition Week

This week KCAO wants to thank our volunteers for their dedication, commitment, and willingness to serve Kings County.

In 2023, KCAO recorded 571 unduplicated volunteers with a combined 20,331 volunteer hours.

Our volunteers served at the food distributions, crisis support programs, early childhood education programs, community garden, events, financial literacy presentations, and as KCAO board members.

Thank you for your service. Without you we wouldn't be able to serve our community.

KCAO has the best volunteers!

Medi-Cal Navigation Project

We’ve recently added an appointment scheduling system for the KCAO Medi-Cal Navigation Project.

This program assists clients with completing their initial application or renewal for Medi-Cal, CalFresh, or CalWORKs. KCAO Navigators can upload or mail documents based on each client's needs.

Please visit kcao.org/medi-cal-navigation and schedule your appointment today.

The Medi-Cal Navigation Project is in collaboration with Kings County Human Services.

This week KCAO is introducing a new online application process for Head Start and Child Development Programs.

KCAO will start transitioning to the online application process and will stop accepting paper applications on May 31, 2024. To apply for Head Start or childcare programs please visit the webpages below.
