Medi-Cal Navigation

In collaboration with Kings County Human Services, KCAO provides application assistance through our Medi-Cal Navigation Project.

This program allows KCAO Navigators to assist clients with completing their initial application process or renewal for Medi-Cal, CalFresh or CalWORKs, and submitting to the county for review. Our Navigators can upload or mail out documents required based on each client's needs. 

Once the county receives the application, they will reach out to the client to review eligibility and go over the next possible steps. Application appointments are available via phone or in person at two location sites, Hanford and Kettleman City. 

Application Process

Step 1

Schedule an appointment in the scheduling widget.

Appointments can be made at:

  • The KCAO Hanford Resource & Referral Office

Or

  • The KCAO Kettleman City Family Resource Center

Step 2

  • Check your email and text for notifications from KCAO

  • If you didn’t receive a notification, please call a KCAO Medi-Cal Navigator at (559) 415-7170

Step 3

Attend your appointment and bring all required documents to:

  • Income for the whole household (paystubs or W2 Forms)

  • Passport to services

  • ID Cards

  • Social Security Cards
