Head Start Father’s Day Celebration

At KCAO, we know that strong family connections help children thrive, both in and out of the classroom.
For Father’s Day, our Head Start team at the Preston Green Learning Center celebrated the important role fathers and father figures play in their children's early learning journey. The parents of Room 6 at Preston Green were invited to a special Father’s Day BBQ. The event brought together families, children, and staff for an afternoon filled with good food, fun activities, and meaningful memories.
Events like this are about more than just fun, they’re about connection. It was a chance for the children to show off their classroom and share quality time with their fathers in a playful, supportive environment. For the parents, it was an opportunity to be present, engaged, and recognized as a vital part of their child’s early development.
At KCAO, our Head Start programs are built around the whole family, and Father’s Day was a perfect reminder of the impact a supportive parent can have.
We’re so grateful to the families of Preston Green Room 6 who made this Father’s Day celebration so memorable. Your presence, participation, and love make all the difference in your children's lives, and in the success of our program.
