Every September, Hunger Action Month brings communities together to raise awareness and take action against hunger. This nationwide campaign, spearheaded by Feeding America, encourages individuals, organizations, and businesses to join the fight against food insecurity. KCAO is deeply committed to this cause. It conducts 14 food distributions each month and operates food pantries at Lemoore College and Family Health Care Network. These efforts ensure that families in our community have access to nutritious food. During Hunger Action Month, people are encouraged to volunteer at local food banks, donate non-perishable items, and advocate for policies that support those in need. Events such as food drives, fundraisers, and educational workshops are held to highlight the importance of ensuring everyone has access to nutritious food.
