HANFORD — The Kings Community Action Organization (KCAO) is getting some recognition June 22 in Sacramento.
KCAO will join about 70 other nonprofits across the state to be honored as a Nonprofits of the Year at the inaugural California Nonprofits Day event hosted by the California Association of Nonprofits. California legislators selected a nonprofit from their home district to be honored and KCAO was nominated by Assemblyman Rudy Salas, D-Bakersfield. KCAO is representing the 32nd Assembly District.
“It’s a really good feeling to receive that award,” said KCAO Executive Director Jeff Garner. “We are just extremely happy and delighted that we are able to get recognized in this way.”
