Eligibility Requirements

Assistance shall be available only to the following households.

  • Households with incomes that do not exceed an amount equal to sixty percent (%60) of the State Median Income
  • 1 person household: $19893 yearly income
  • Add $6,131 for each additional member up to six
  • Add $1145 for each member seven and above
  • Households receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • State Supplementary Program (SSP)
  • Food Stamp payments under sections 415, 521, 541, or 542 of Title 38 of the United States Code
  • Section 306 of the Veterans and Survivors Pension Improvement Act of 1978
  • County General Assistance

Documents Needed for Enrollment

  • Income Verification
  • Check stubs (must be for one month and current within six weeks of the application intake date).
  • Annual Award Letter
  • Energy Bills
  • Current Gas and Electric bills to determine energy burden

Priority


  • Households with the highest energy burden
  • Households with the following vulnerable populations:
  • Children ages 5 years and under
  • Disabled
  • Elderly ages 60 years and older
  • Life threatening emergencies
