Resources for Teachers & Child Care Providers

Child Care Initiative Project
The Child Care Initiative Project offers training and technical assistance to providers in the process of licensing and licensed providers. Upon successful completion of 25-30 hours of training, providers will receive an incentive package based on program needs.

License Exempt Provider Training
Kings Community Action Organization’s (KCAO) Provider Training Program offers on-going training to licensed child care providers. Services are provided at FRC’s on specified dates and times.

Resource and Referral
KCAO Resource and Referral (R&R) Program helps parents find quality child care, provides information about state licensing, gives information on childcare subsidy programs and provides technical assistance to child care providers. Choosing childcare is one of the most important decisions a family will ever make, therefore, R & R helps to tailor childcare to the family’s individual needs.

Teacher Resource Center
The TRC provides a variety of resource materials, supplies, digital picture printing, award plaque making and equipment for Educators, Teachers, Family Child Care Providers, Students, Law Enforcement, Faith-Based and Civic Organizations, Local Government Agencies and Parents (laminating, badges, duplicating, video cassettes, die cuts, photocopies, etc.).

Toy Lending Library
The Child Care Resource and Referral (R&R) loans toys, books and instructional videos to licensed child care providers. Staff is available to instruct providers on how to incorporate toys and materials into the children’s lesson plans.
